About the program
DRIVe is BARDA's Division of Research, Innovation, and Ventures, which funds early-stage companies working on health security and public health innovation using a venture-style, non-dilutive funding model. Program areas include influenza vaccines, digital health tools, ARDS and respiratory treatments, tissue chip models, decentralized clinical research, radiological and nuclear threat mitigation, and diagnostics. The BARDA Accelerator Network is the associated hub network that provides startup support across the country; MATTER in Chicago hosts one such hub, Paratus, focused on digital health.
