Methodology

What the directory is

A current, searchable, source-based directory of hospital and health system innovation programs. Each profile explains how a system has organized innovation, the types of programs it supports, its venture and commercialization activity, its public leadership, and any publicly reported evidence of external adoption or market activity.

Inclusion standard

A program may be included when at least one authoritative public source confirms that the health system operates a named innovation, venture, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, or commercialization function. Editorial inclusion is not an endorsement. Paid placement never determines inclusion or ranking.

Evidence rule

Every factual field must point to at least one source record. If a fact cannot be supported, the field is left blank. The directory never infers underperformance, revenue, program ownership, or a relationship from the absence of public information.

Source hierarchy

1. Official health system and program websites
2. Official annual reports, impact reports, and strategy materials
3. Official venture, portfolio, licensing, and technology-transfer pages
4. Official executive biographies and leadership announcements
5. Official press releases from the health system or a named partner
6. Government filings when relevant
7. Credible healthcare publications as secondary confirmation

Verification labels

Editorially verified means the research team reviewed official public sources. System verified means a health-system representative confirmed or corrected the record. Update requested means a correction is in review.

What remains private

Opportunity signals, priority scores, research notes, and contact strategy never appear on public pages or in the browser data used for search. Those fields exist only to help Lisa T. Miller decide where a confidential conversation may be useful.

Jobs methodology

The jobs board includes roles in hospital innovation, venture development, technology transfer, licensing, commercialization, digital innovation, and closely related program leadership. A job is eligible only when its employer maps to a program already documented in this directory.

Job records must resolve to an official employer career page or an approved applicant tracking system. Third-party aggregators, scraped reposts, social posts, and search-result snippets are not publication sources. If an official page is closed, broken, or ambiguous, the role is excluded.

The directory publishes only job facts disclosed by the official source. It does not infer compensation, remote eligibility, responsibilities, or closing dates. Salary text appears only when the employer discloses it. Application links lead directly to the employer; this site does not collect applications, resumes, names, or applicant contact information.

Corrections

Health-system leaders may submit a correction through the update form. Please include an official source URL. Documented corrections are reviewed and, when verified, published promptly.
