About the program
The Blavatnik Biomedical Accelerator is Harvard's translational funding program for faculty biomedical discoveries, run by the Office of Technology Development and endowed by a gift from the Blavatnik Family Foundation. It issues Pilot and Development grants on an annual call-for-proposals cycle to de-risk early therapeutics, diagnostics and device projects and to move them toward licensing or company formation. Awards are paired with guidance from an external advisory committee of industry and venture experts. Funded projects have seeded multiple Harvard biotech spinouts.
