About the program
The Earl E. Bakken Medical Devices Center is a collaboration between the University of Minnesota's College of Science and Engineering and Medical School to create technology-based solutions to clinical problems and train medical device innovation leaders. Its signature Innovation Fellows Program embeds interdisciplinary fellows in clinical environments to identify needs and develop device concepts toward commercialization. The center is part of the university's Institute for Engineering in Medicine and also runs the MedWorx initiative.
