About the program

The Emory School of Medicine Innovation Center is a physical and programmatic hub that gives Emory clinicians and researchers the tools to move ideas from bedside observation to prototype and company. It houses 3D printing and bioprinting for anatomical models and device prototypes, micromachining and microfabrication for microfluidics and organ-on-chip systems, and the AppHatchery digital health incubator for app development, UX research and extended-reality projects. The center also runs an Innovation Certificate Program and bioentrepreneurship events that teach faculty and trainees the commercialization pathway. It sits alongside Emory's broader innovation infrastructure, including the Emory Biomedical Catalyst and the Lab2Launch coworking and wet-lab space for faculty startups on the Schinazi Family Innovation Floor.
