About the program
The HHS IDEA Lab was an internal innovation office that applied entrepreneurial methods inside the federal health department, running programs such as the HHS Entrepreneurs in Residence, Innovator in Residence, Ignite Accelerator and open innovation prize competitions. The Ignite Accelerator provided HHS staff teams with structured startup-style coaching to test process and technology improvements. The office's public activity has substantially declined.
