Public description
About the program
The i3 Asset Accelerator is Mount Sinai Innovation Partners' milestone-driven investment program for advancing discoveries by Mount Sinai faculty, physicians and researchers toward commercial viability. Technologies are nominated by MSIP business development staff and then reviewed by an Investment Advisory Committee of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and industry professionals from pharma, biotech and medical devices. Selected projects receive staged funding tied to defined commercial inflection points, with the explicit goals of generating stronger intellectual property, licensing assets to corporations or new startups, and attracting outside investment. Projects are judged on commercial inflection point, market potential, technological novelty and clinical relevance.
