Public description
About the program
IndieBio, founded in San Francisco in 2015, was Silicon Valley's first biotech program to offer on-site bio-labs together with pre-seed investment, and later added a New York site. Between 2015 and 2025 it produced 310 graduates that collectively raised $3.6 billion across therapeutics, diagnostics, food, agriculture, industrial decarbonization and AI. As of early 2026 the IndieBio brand was retired and the programs were rebranded as SOSV SF and SOSV NY to reflect a broader deep tech scope.
