Public description
About the program
The Ohio State Innovation Studio is an interprofessional maker and venture space founded inside the College of Nursing that brings students, faculty and staff together to build healthcare products, services and software. It is equipped with prototyping tools including 3D printers and laser cutters, and provides mentorship, technical support and an ambassador program. Interprofessional teams compete for seed funding through the Innovation Showcase, and funded teams can return for additional grant cycles to advance their innovations. Ohio State Wexner Medical Center employees are eligible to participate, extending the studio beyond the academic campus into the health system. The studio was created through a gift from Connie Hahn Sharpe and Gary Sharpe, founders of Health Care Logistics, Inc.
