About the program
KidsX is a pediatric digital health accelerator and hospital consortium founded and administered by Children's Hospital Los Angeles. It anchors a global ecosystem of children's hospitals that want to accelerate health innovation and transform pediatric care, and it runs accelerators, innovation challenges and consortium initiatives. The accelerator uses a reverse-pitch model in which member hospitals define their needs at the start of the program so participating companies align their products to real pediatric demand from day one. Outside digital health companies apply to cohorts and are matched with member hospitals for pilots; hospitals join by contacting the CHLA-based consortium team. Recent cohort priorities include AI automation for workforce optimization, care journey navigation, health literacy tools, hospital-at-home technologies and pediatric mental and behavioral health.
