Public description
About the program
Nucleate is a student-led, university-embedded nonprofit that calls itself the largest global community of bio-innovators, with chapters at research universities across the United States and abroad. Its flagship Activator is a six-month, equity-free cohort program that pairs academic scientists with business co-founders and provides curriculum, mentorship, legal support and subsidized vendor perks, ending in a pitch showcase. Applicants need PI approval, preliminary data, IP or a path to file within a year, and intent to spin out. Activator teams have raised over $190 million across more than 100 life science ventures.
