Public description

About the program

OSF Ventures is the venture investment arm of OSF HealthCare and sits inside OSF Innovation, the system's broader innovation organization. It makes post-seed direct investments as part of syndicates in health IT, medical devices, therapeutics, diagnostics and technology-enabled care delivery, and it also commits capital to third-party healthcare venture funds. Its third and largest fund launched in January 2022 at $100 million, bringing total assets under management to roughly $250 million across three funds. The team pairs capital with access to OSF's hospitals for piloting and validation, and it has screened close to 1,500 opportunities since the program began. It invests rather than incubating companies itself, although OSF Innovation runs adjacent accelerator and internal-innovation programs.
