About the program
Sling Health, founded in 2013 at Washington University in St. Louis as IDEA Labs, is a national nonprofit biotechnology incubator that pairs student engineers, designers and business students with clinicians to turn unmet clinical needs into companies. Its academic-year pipeline runs from Problem Day through design reviews to a Demo Day where teams launch ventures. The network spans 20 university chapters and more than 180 graduated teams, whose alumni ventures have raised over $220M in follow-on capital.
