About the program
Texas Health Catalyst is Dell Medical School's health innovation accelerator, run out of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which helps clinicians and researchers translate discoveries into commercial products. Selected teams receive milestone-based seed grants of up to $50,000 plus customized product development guidance from panels of industry and clinical experts. The program is sector-agnostic, supporting therapeutics, diagnostics, medical devices and digital health, and it deliberately couples money with structured mentoring hours rather than grants alone. Its annual Roundup & Rodeo event showcases funded UT health innovation teams to investors and industry partners, and the model has been published as a case study in NEJM Catalyst.
