Public description

About the program

Tampa General Hospital launched InnoVentures in the first quarter of 2021 as the academic medical center's venture capital fund, now branded TGH Ventures. The program was built on three vehicles: the TGH Innovation Lab for internal operational improvement, the TGH Accelerator for early-stage healthcare companies, and direct venture investments in healthcare and healthcare-adjacent companies. It is housed with Embarc Collective in a 32,000-square-foot facility in Tampa's emerging medical district. Complementary programs include Co-Lab, which provides entrepreneurial resources, and IdeaHQ, which crowdsources ideas from team members. It both invests in and accelerates outside companies while developing internal ideas.
