About the program
Established in 2022, the Tulane Innovation Institute helps Tulane students, faculty and Greater New Orleans innovators develop ideas, launch startups and access capital, with healthcare among the sectors targeted by its affiliated Tulane Ventures fund. It runs startup programs and mentorship, manages Tulane's commercialization pipeline from invention protection through market validation, and connects industry to university technologies. From FY23 to FY26 it reported $1.4M in funded ideas, 18 spinouts and 111 patents granted.
