The IU Health Incubator at IU LAB is Indiana University Health's sponsored startup incubator inside the Indiana University LifeSciences Accelerator and Biofoundry, created to translate research into companies and grow the state's life sciences economy. It runs two programs: a seven-week pre-accelerator using gener8tor's gBETA curriculum for up to 10 early-stage human health companies a year, and a LifeTech Accelerator operated jointly with Plug and Play and the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership that takes 20 to 30 companies a year across two cohorts. Startups get mentorship, curriculum, introductions to IU Health clinicians and access to IU LAB facilities. The incubator is open to companies from Indiana and outside the state that want a clinical partner and a landing point in Indianapolis.
