Mandate and remit
The Healthcare Innovation Lab is a joint BJC HealthCare and Washington University School of Medicine unit, housed within BJC's Center for Clinical Excellence, that develops and tests new care delivery models rather than commercializing intellectual property. It defines innovation as a new idea that creates value when implemented, and uses agile, human-centered design plus rigorous evaluation to move ideas from concept to deployed practice.
