Mandate and remit
The Garfield Innovation Center is Kaiser Permanente's simulated care delivery environment, where clinicians, designers and technologists prototype, test and refine both high-tech and low-tech care improvements before they are deployed across the system. It replicates hospital and clinic settings so that new workflows, equipment, facility designs and technologies can be trialed with front-line staff rather than in live patient care.
