Mandate and remit
Mount Sinai BioDesign is a medical device innovation incubator embedded in the Mount Sinai Health System that turns clinical insights from its physicians and surgeons into commercially viable medical technologies. It runs an end-to-end process spanning needs identification with clinicians, rapid prototyping and digital manufacturing, device design and validation, and intellectual property protection. Completed technologies are licensed to industry partners or spun out into new companies.
