The health system grants another organization the right to develop, make, or sell an invention, often in exchange for fees or royalties.
Licensing is the core published route for many academic technology-transfer offices. Official pages typically describe patents, licenses, and industry partners.
A license is evidence of an external party. It is not, by itself, evidence of a large commercial business inside the hospital.
