Mandate and remit
UCI Beall Applied Innovation is the University of California, Irvine's campus-wide innovation and commercialization hub, serving faculty, clinicians and student innovators across UCI including UCI Health and the School of Medicine. It is organized into four groups: the Research Translation Group for invention disclosure and technology licensing, the Enterprise Collaborations Group for industry partnerships, the New Ventures Group for startup formation and I-Corps training, and the Cove @ UCI, a physical facility with offices, labs and event space. Outside companies engage through licensing, industry-sponsored research agreements and enterprise collaborations, and startups use the Cove for space and mentorship.
