What This Program Does

The Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Fellowship is a one-year, team-based fellowship for chief nursing officers, nurse executives and senior nurse leaders drawn from U.S. health systems. Each participating health system sends a two-person team consisting of a CNO or nurse executive plus a senior nurse leader, and the pair works on a shared institutional challenge from their own organization. The curriculum combines human-centered design training delivered by Penn Nursing with business strategy and leadership development from Wharton Executive Education. The program culminates in a final in-person pitch session and implementation of the team's solution inside its home health system. Ten two-person teams are selected annually.
