What This Program Does

The Baptist Health Innovation Fellowship is a yearlong program created to attract, train and empower healthcare visionaries and entrepreneurs across South Florida, including Baptist Health physicians and clinicians. Fellows attend ten Friday sessions from September to June covering intellectual property, the regulatory environment, investment capital, product development and core innovation skills. They work in multidisciplinary teams to identify unmet healthcare needs and develop candidate solutions, culminating in presentations to investors and health system executives. Graduates join an ongoing community of innovators and remain eligible for Baptist Health's other innovation challenge programs. The fellowship was launched with support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and requires applicants to live in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach or Monroe County.
