Fund or office: Orlando Health Strategic Innovations
Orlando Health Strategic Innovations is the health system's division for inspiring and accelerating innovation across the enterprise, bringing proven clinical innovations and technological advances to market and creating new revenue streams through partnerships and investments. It has three main components. The Foundry is an internal accelerator that identifies, refines and commercializes ideas from Orlando Health team members and physicians, covering software, apps, medical products and regulated devices. Orlando Health Ventures is the corporate investment arm, providing financial, operational and strategic support to companies whose technology can improve patient outcomes and change care delivery. The Center for Innovation is a physical hub on South Division Avenue in Orlando with flexible meeting space, a 3D printing lab and a prototyping workshop, and outside companies engage the division through venture investment, pilots and co-development with its clinical and engineering staff.
